Frequently Asked Questions
Why is hiring a wedding planner a non-negotiable?
With all of the online and physical planning resources out there, it’s tempting to take a DIY approach to wedding planning. However, while there’s a ton of great info out there, it’s difficult to know where to start, how to gracefully move from one task to the next and how to tackle the inevitable obstacles and questions. Because every couple has different priorities & interests, blanket information and generic checklists are not able to cater to each one. Just like with any major project, it’s best to work with a real person whose expertise is in that field - someone you can trust will make your priorities their priorities & be there to provide guidance and answers every step of the way. Not to mention the delightful sense of relief you’ll feel on your wedding weekend knowing all of the nitty-gritty details are being handled, and you (or your tribe) don’t have to lift a finger. Just a glass ;)
What if my venue includes a coordinator?
Many venues have on-site managers or coordinators, which is incredibly helpful. I was one for years! One of the main differences between a venue coordinator and a wedding planner is ultimately who they work for. The venue coordinator has a responsibility to ensure that everything the venue promised is upheld and that the venue’s rules and regulations are respected. They may be managing multiple events throughout the week and weekend, and they are there to answer all venue-related questions. However, there is so much that happens in the course of planning a wedding outside of the venue; in fact, many venues require that couples hire an outside planner. The wedding planner works directly for the client and handles every detail from invitation etiquette, budgeting and design, to legal questions, payment schedules, and down-to-the-minute timelines. Not to mention, you are the central focus for your planner on your wedding day - even before anyone arrives at your venue!
Do you offer day-of coordination?
I believe it’s incredibly important that we establish mutual trust and that I have a comprehensive understanding of who you are as a couple, your preferences, and your priorities. With my Wedding Management package, I jump in up to 2 months before your wedding date so I have time to get to know you, comb through every detail of your plans up to that point, and take care of any outstanding issues for you. My couples are able to hand over every last one of their plans, questions and concerns, ensuring that the weeks leading up to their wedding are stress-free and joyful! Then, of course, I am all yours on the day-of!
Do you work with out-of-town couples?
Absolutely! I’m more than happy to schedule phone and video calls around your schedule in-between your visits. The online planning platform you have access to also enables us to collaborate on your wedding digitally so nothing falls through the cracks!
What is your pricing structure?

How can we start working together?
I am a working mom with three small children, so, in order to devote myself to my family as well as my couples, I am only able to take on a limited number of couples each year. If you are interested in working with me, please take a moment to fill out my inquiry form. We’ll set up an initial consultation in person, over the phone, or video chat to discuss your needs in further detail and ensure both parties feel comfortable and confident moving forward. If that’s the case, I’ll send you a proposal for the services requested, followed by a contract to secure your date! :)
